Apple Intelligence Expands Globally with New Features and Language Support

CEO Times Contributor

Apple has officially rolled out a global expansion of its AI suite, Apple Intelligence, bringing advanced features and broader multilingual support to users worldwide. The update, announced on April 13, 2025, is part of Apple’s ongoing effort to seamlessly integrate artificial intelligence across its ecosystem while maintaining a strong commitment to user privacy and device performance.

With this expansion, Apple Intelligence now supports several additional languages, including French, German, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese. It also introduces localized English support for users in India and Singapore. This increased linguistic accessibility opens up AI-powered features to a more diverse global user base.

Alongside expanded language options, Apple has introduced a suite of enhanced capabilities aimed at enriching the user experience. Among the highlights are improved visual intelligence tools, allowing devices to better recognize, interpret, and interact with visual data in real-time. Features like Image Playground now support a new “Sketch” style, giving users more expressive and dynamic tools for content creation. Memory movie generation, which was previously limited, is now available on macOS, enabling users to generate videos based on typed prompts.

Priority Notifications, one of the new AI-driven tools, helps users identify and prioritize time-sensitive messages, making device interactions more efficient and personalized. Apple has also enhanced smart summarization capabilities for apps like Notes, Safari, and Mail, which now allow users to quickly digest long texts and web content through concise AI-generated summaries.

A cornerstone of Apple Intelligence is its privacy-first design. Most of the AI models are processed entirely on-device, meaning sensitive personal data never leaves the user’s hardware. For tasks requiring more intensive computation, Apple has introduced Private Cloud Compute, which processes data securely and anonymously in the cloud with end-to-end encryption. This hybrid approach ensures users benefit from powerful AI tools without compromising data security.

Apple Intelligence is now available on a range of devices, including iPhones, iPads, and Macs running iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, and macOS Sequoia 15.4, respectively. The features are also being gradually introduced to the Apple Vision Pro, offering a more immersive and intuitive AI experience in Apple’s spatial computing environment.

This global rollout reflects Apple’s strategic commitment to enhancing the functionality and personalization of its devices through AI, while differentiating itself from competitors by prioritizing on-device processing and user trust. As generative AI becomes more embedded in daily life, Apple’s focus on security, usability, and seamless integration is positioning it as a leader in responsible AI deployment.
