FOLSOM, Calif. — Magnit, a global leader in contingent workforce management solutions, has announced the appointment of Chandra Dhandapani as its new Chief Executive Officer. This leadership transition marks a significant step in the company’s evolution, emphasizing a renewed focus on digital transformation and client-centric innovation.
Dhandapani succeeds Teresa Carroll, who is stepping down as part of a planned transition. Carroll will continue to support Magnit in an advisory capacity during this period. In a statement, Carroll expressed pride in the company’s achievements and confidence in Dhandapani’s leadership, stating, “I am committed to supporting Magnit as an advisor through this transition period and am confident that Chandra will take the company to new heights.”
Prior to joining Magnit, Dhandapani served as CEO of Global Workplace Solutions at CBRE, a leading global commercial real estate services and investment firm. In this role, she led service delivery across various sectors, including technology, healthcare, and financial services. Her tenure at CBRE also included positions as Chief Digital and Technology Officer and Chief Transformation Officer, where she spearheaded global digital initiatives. Before her time at CBRE, Dhandapani held several leadership roles at Capital One, focusing on digital transformation and technology strategy.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the new role, Dhandapani stated, “I am deeply honored to lead Magnit into its next chapter of transformation and growth. The contingent workforce management market benefits from long-term secular trends, and Magnit is uniquely positioned to capitalize on this opportunity at a global scale through its client-centric approach, proven expertise, innovative technology platform, and data intelligence.”
In addition to Dhandapani’s appointment, Magnit announced that John Driscoll has been named Chairperson of the Board of Directors. Driscoll brings extensive experience from his previous roles as President of U.S. Healthcare and Executive Vice President at Walgreens Boots Alliance, and as CEO of CareCentrix, a tech-enabled healthcare company. He is also a longtime Senior Advisor to EQT Partners, one of Magnit’s investors.
Driscoll expressed confidence in the new leadership, stating, “On behalf of the Board, we are thrilled to welcome Chandra as our new CEO. Her exceptional leadership and drive, expertise in digital transformation, and track record of delivering for clients make her an ideal choice for this role.”
Furthermore, Rebecca Henderson has joined Magnit’s Board of Directors. Henderson has a distinguished career in the human capital management sector, having served as CEO of Global Businesses at Randstad. In that role, she was responsible for the group’s global business portfolio, including Randstad Sourceright, Monster, and RiseSmart. Her expertise is expected to provide valuable insights as Magnit continues to navigate the evolving workforce landscape.
Magnit, formerly known as PRO Unlimited, has over 30 years of experience in contingent workforce management. The company integrates advanced technology, dedicated services expertise, and extensive data analytics into a unified platform. This approach enables organizations to accelerate hiring processes, optimize contingent workforce spending, ensure compliance, and scale access to quality talent across various worker categories, including contingent workers, independent contractors, and gig workers.
The appointment of Dhandapani as CEO, along with the additions of Driscoll and Henderson to the leadership team, underscores Magnit’s commitment to innovation and strategic growth. As the workforce management industry continues to evolve, these leadership changes position Magnit to effectively address the dynamic needs of global clients and maintain its status as a leader in the field.
