Debbi Runs the World transforms seven marathon shirts into a moving celebration of personal goals, community, mindset, and giving.
A marathon usually leaves its mark on the person who runs it. For Debbi DiMaggio, the mark is intended to belong to thousands of people. In November 2026, DiMaggio set out to run seven marathons across seven continents in seven consecutive days. But as the year has unfolded, the challenge has become something much bigger than a race. It has become a living expression of the philosophy behind her book, Mindset In Motion™: keep moving, stay open, and be willing to pivot when the path changes. And that may be the most important lesson of all.
The Goal Can Change. The Movement Doesn’t
DiMaggio learned months into the year that completing all seven marathons by the November 2026 deadline may not be possible. Her response wasn’t to quit. It was to pivot. If the seven-in-seven challenge cannot happen in 2026, she can move the race to 2027. The goal remains. The mission remains. The movement continues.
For DiMaggio, that is not a setback. It is the very lesson she has spent years teaching. Sometimes we begin moving toward one destination only to discover something bigger along the way.
A year ago, DiMaggio set out with the goal of doing a TEDx talk. That journey ultimately led to something she never could have planned: the creation of her book, Mindset In Motion™, and an expanded platform around helping people turn inspiration into action.
Now, the marathon is teaching her the same lesson in real time. You don’t have to abandon the goal when you have to adjust the plan. You simply keep moving. And sometimes, when you pivot, something bigger is waiting on the other side.
From One Person’s Challenge to a Collective Movement
That is the spirit behind Debbi Runs the World.
The project isn’t ultimately about how fast DiMaggio can run seven marathons. It is about what can happen when people attach their own goals, dreams, businesses, stories, and generosity to a shared mission.
Through the campaign, supporters can place a personal square on one of seven continent-themed designs. Those designs will appear on the shirts DiMaggio wears during the corresponding marathon, turning each race shirt into a moving record of the people who chose to become part of the journey.
A supporter can put their initials on a continent. A business can become a partner. A young girl supported through Girls on the Run can become part of the larger purpose.
Different goals. Different stories. One movement.
The idea is simple: Leave your mark. Keep moving. Help someone else move forward, too.
The Mission Is Bigger Than Debbi
DiMaggio is intentionally building Debbi Runs the World as a partnership-driven movement.
The goal is not simply to promote Debbi. It is to create a platform where businesses, entrepreneurs, organizations, individuals, and community leaders have an opportunity to be seen, supported, connected, and elevated while contributing to a mission that reaches far beyond one person.
That is why partnerships matter.
The vision is to move beyond one voice. Beyond one person. Beyond one race.
The greater mission is what happens when many voices begin moving in the same direction.
Partners will have an opportunity to align their brands and stories with a global journey centered on movement, personal growth, community, perseverance, and giving—while helping expand the reach and impact of the campaign.
Businesses and organizations interested in becoming part of the movement can explore partnership opportunities here.
The Idea Is Simple: Leave Your Mark
Supporters who make a donation of $25 or more to Girls on the Run can claim a square on the continent of their choice. They can add their initials, choose a color, and share a link connected to their square.
Seven posters will represent seven continents, creating visual communities that grow as the challenge approaches.
But the digital experience does not stay digital.
Each continent’s design is printed on the race shirt DiMaggio wears during that marathon.
A supporter in one part of the world can therefore become part of a physical object that travels to another.
It is a small square with a much larger story behind it.
A Personal Challenge Becomes a Collective One
DiMaggio brings 35 years of experience in Bay Area real estate, entrepreneurship, coaching, speaking, and community building to an undertaking that is far removed from the professional world in which she built her career.
Yet the underlying theme is familiar.
Mindset matters when the goal seems bigger than the individual.
Seven marathons in seven days require preparation, discipline, travel, recovery, and an extraordinary willingness to keep moving.
But DiMaggio’s challenge has also become a demonstration of something more universal: we don’t always know exactly where a goal will take us.
The important thing is to begin. Then adjust. Then keep moving.
From Mindset to Movement
The philosophy behind DiMaggio’s work extends beyond the marathon course.
Her Mindset In Motion™ Method is built around the idea that inspiration becomes meaningful when it is followed by action.
The five-step method—Goal. Believe. Internalize. Share. Activate.—is designed to help people move from an idea to intentional action.
That philosophy is also being developed into the Mindset In Motion™ App, currently in development as an interactive personal growth and accountability experience.
The planned app is designed to help users set intentions, take daily action, reflect on their progress, build streaks, and see their momentum grow throughout a 90-day journey.
The goal is simple: Don’t just feel inspired. Move.
When Activation Becomes Action
The word activation is central to how DiMaggio coaches and motivates others. Her approach goes beyond inspiration, helping people identify what is holding them back and take action.
Megan experienced this firsthand after Debbi shared ideas, leads, and mindset shifts to help her move forward. Over the next two months, Megan followed through, landing major sales for Conversational English Pro, working with Randy Thomas, and booking a successful keynote and workshop for Manhattan School of Music.
“Debbi DiMaggio chose the word ‘activation,’ and I can’t think of a better word to describe her.”
That is the essence of Debbi’s work. She doesn’t simply motivate people. She activates them—and that same philosophy drives Debbi Runs the World.

Mindset In Motion™ Elevate * Collaborate Collective™
DiMaggio’s Mindset In Motion™ Elevate * Collaborate Collective™ brings activation, connection, and forward movement to life through mentorship, collaboration, and accountability. Meeting weekly, the Collective connects people from around the world to share ideas, opportunities, and support while building meaningful relationships and connections.
“It’s not for everyone,” DiMaggio says. “It’s for people who are ready to move forward—without excuses.”
The philosophy is simple: Elevate. Collaborate. Mentor. Connect. Grow.
Why the Shirt Matters
There is something enduring about an object that has traveled with a person through a defining experience.
A race shirt is normally a souvenir. In this case, it becomes part of the event itself.
The seven shirts will carry the visual identity of each continent and the supporters associated with it.
When DiMaggio runs in Antarctica, the Antarctica design travels with her. When she moves to Africa, the next shirt takes its place. The sequence continues through Australia, Asia, Europe, South America, and North America.
The result is almost like a traveling scrapbook, except the pages are being worn rather than turned.
Supporters are not simply listed on a website. Their participation becomes physically connected to the miles.
The Bigger Story Behind the Miles
The charitable connection adds another layer to the campaign.
Girls on the Run combines running and physical activity with life-skills education to help girls develop confidence, connection, competence, character, caring, and contribution.
That mission creates a natural connection between an adult athlete pushing her own limits and an organization helping young girls discover their own potential.
A marathon is built one step at a time. Confidence often develops the same way.
The campaign’s message therefore extends beyond endurance. Ambitious goals become even more meaningful when they create opportunities for someone else to move forward.
The Movement Is Already in Motion
Whether the challenge happens in 2026 or 2027, the message remains the same: the movement is already happening. Every supporter, partner, donation, and next step adds to Debbi Runs the World—a collective journey showing what can happen when one person starts moving and inspires others to move with her.
Seven Continents. One Shared Message.
By the seventh and final marathon, the journey will have collected more than miles—it will have brought together goals, partnerships, contributions, stories, and connections. Seven races may end, but the movement continues through Mindset In Motion™: Goal. Believe. Internalize. Share. Activate. And if the path changes, pivot, adjust, and keep moving.
