Training #1MillionWomen and pioneering a first-of-its-kind women’s safety intelligence platform, integrating real-time data, live risk alerts, and trauma-informed tools through a certified safety network.
Gloria Marcott, founder and CEO of Soul Punch™ Self-Defense, is spearheading a global transformation in women’s personal safety through a data-informed, trauma-aware model that redefines conventional self-defense. Drawing on over 18 years of experience in law enforcement and a personal history of surviving violence, Marcott has established Soul Punch™ as a leader in real-world safety education for women. Her mission is bold and direct: train one million women and deliver a replicable safety system that women can not only use, but teach, lead, and monetize.
Marcott has personally trained more than 10,000 women, integrating situational tactics and trauma-informed practices that move beyond traditional martial arts. Soul Punch™ provides practical tools and decision-making frameworks that equip women with cognitive and environmental strategies tailored to real-world scenarios. These programs are structured not only to help individuals but to serve as scalable safety enterprises for certified instructors and trainers across the globe.
Under Marcott’s leadership, Soul Punch™ has launched a series of technology-driven innovations designed to protect and empower. Central to this effort is the Soul DefendHER™, a Bluetooth-connected, GPS-enabled safety device in collaboration with Plegium®, known for producing some of the world’s most advanced smart pepper spray tools. The Soul DefendHER™ integrates “criminal identifier” UV gel dye marking, real-time GPS alerts, a high-decibel 130dB alarm, 19Hz tactical strobe lighting, continuous event recording, and access to 24/7 live monitoring. This suite of features provides layered protection that responds to escalation in both urban and remote environments, reflecting the design’s focus on mobility and discretion.
In parallel, Soul Punch™ is launching a first-of-its-kind, women-powered rideshare platform where safety isn’t a feature, it is the service. Built by women, for women, the system delivers a peace-of-mind travel experience led by certified, trauma-informed drivers who are trained in self-defense, equipped with the Soul DefendHER™ device, and connected to 24/7 live monitoring.
This isn’t a rebranded rideshare, it’s a fully reimagined safety network, engineered to make every ride a protected space where both riders and drivers are prioritized, prepared, and supported. By embedding trained women, advanced safety technology, and tactical dispatch systems into the ride experience, Soul Punch™ is transforming everyday travel into a living safety infrastructure, one ride at a time.
This initiative is powered by certified Safety Advocates and Trainers and features Soul Punch’s proprietary Empowered Routing™ model, an intelligent navigation system that prioritizes travel paths based on contextual safety metrics rather than speed or efficiency. As Gloria Marcott puts it:
“Safety IS the service.”
This platform is designed to reduce risk, elevate peace of mind, and center community accountability in the way women move through the world.
Phased prototype testing is currently underway. Soul Punch anticipates a private membership beta launch in Q4 2025, granting early adopters access to the multi-layered safety tech stack while delivering data insights to inform regional deployment and optimization.
As the Soul Punch™ ecosystem matures, Marcott is guiding the company toward a comprehensive licensing and training model. This includes the integration of AI-supported marketing, performance analytics, and a curriculum that can be adopted by certified trainers worldwide. This framework enables women not only to access safety tools, but to build economically sustainable businesses rooted in community protection and social impact.
Marcott’s media presence has grown by reaching over 230 million views monthly across her social media platforms alongside the company’s expansion. She has been featured in national outlets including Fox, NBC, CBS, InStyle, Glamour, Elite Daily, Valiant CEO, and Woman’s Insider. In these features, she has articulated a shift from reactive fear to proactive strategy, positioning Soul Punch™ as a platform that empowers women through training, technology and the global movement creating equity in safety.
By combining frontline law enforcement expertise, entrepreneurial acumen, and a survivor’s insight, Gloria Marcott is reshaping how women’s safety is conceptualized, taught, and delivered.
Soul Punch™ exists because women have never had a safety system built for them, one that meets them exactly where they are: physically, emotionally, financially, and in the real-world moments where it matters most.” Gloria Marcott, CEO & Founder, Soul Punch™
