Osas Imafidon’s journey from corporate boardrooms to launching The Enjoyment Minister.
A Vision for Cultural Luxury Travel
Osas Imafidon’s journey into the luxury travel world didn’t start with dreams of lavish resorts or idyllic getaways. Instead, it stemmed from a deeper desire to craft a travel experience that truly resonated with Black and diaspora travelers, an experience that focused not just on luxury, but on culture, authenticity, and connection to heritage. In an industry often defined by generic experiences, Osas saw an opportunity to build something personal, and deeply rooted in the values of those often left out of mainstream luxury travel.
From Corporate Success to Entrepreneurial Boldness
Before founding The Enjoyment Minister, Osas had a thriving career in the corporate sector, managing multimillion-dollar portfolios at Sahara Group. It was here that she sharpened her skills in large-scale operations, working with international clients and overseeing complex travel systems for thousands of employees. Despite her success in the corporate world, a sense of dissatisfaction lingered. Osas often found herself wondering, What if luxury travel could mean more than just five-star accommodations? What if it could be about culture, heritage, and identity?
This curiosity led to the birth of The Enjoyment Minister in 2022. In the early days, she used simple tools like WhatsApp and spreadsheets to handle everything from customer consultations to creating personalized itineraries. But her strategic background as a Business and Marketing expert proved invaluable, and as the brand grew, so did its operational systems. With influencer collaborations, data-driven pricing strategies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Osas was able to scale The Enjoyment Minister while maintaining its original ethos.
Authenticity and Personal Touch in Luxury Travel
What sets The Enjoyment Minister apart is not just the luxury of its services but the authenticity that is woven into every experience. For Osas, it was important that each destination featured by the brand was one she or her team had personally visited and experienced. “I wanted to create a travel brand grounded in real experiences, where every recommendation comes from someone who has actually been there, felt the culture, and lived the story,” Osas explains.
In a world where many companies rely on third-party recommendations or pre-packaged itineraries, Osas’s firsthand approach ensures that every journey feels personal and genuine. It’s this dedication to real, lived experiences that shapes the brand’s offerings, allowing Black and diaspora travelers to connect with destinations on a deeper level, beyond the surface of luxury hotels and five-star resorts.

Building a Community Through Travel
Osas’s corporate experience has played a key role in shaping The Enjoyment Minister into a brand that’s both polished and operationally sound. Yet her ultimate goal extends far beyond just running a profitable business, she’s creating a movement. “Luxury is not about price; it’s about perception and consistency. My success has always been about building a community that rises together,” Osas says. With this drive, she has built a community of almost 20,000 people across her social media platforms. She continues to educate her audience on travel and experiences via her instagram page @theenjoymentminister1.
The Enjoyment Minister is becoming more than a travel service; it’s evolving into a lifestyle, a place where travelers can find experiences that celebrate their culture, joy, and identity. For Osas, true luxury is not just about opulence, it’s about creating experiences that are meaningful, transformative, and reflect the richness of one’s cultural heritage.
Mentorship and Giving Back to the Community
Beyond her work in luxury travel, Osas is also deeply invested in mentorship and giving back. She’s an active mentor with organizations like Globalmentorship.org, where she supports underrepresented entrepreneurs in the digital economy. From advising startups to mentoring students at the University of Lagos, Osas’s impact extends far beyond the travel industry.
A Movement, Not Just a Niche
As her journey continues, The Enjoyment Minister is shifting from a niche offering to a broader cultural movement. It’s not just about providing Black and diaspora travelers with luxury experiences; it’s about creating experiences that reflect their identity, culture, and joy. Osas is showing the world that luxury travel can be personal, cultural, and powerful.
She shares her thoughts on this at events like the World Travel Market (WTM), where she engages with other industry leaders focused on building tech-savvy travel experiences. In a recent LinkedIn post, Osas reflected on her time at the event, where she discussed her mission of creating culturally rich travel experiences. You can read more about her experience at WTM here.
Osas is just getting started in her quest to redefine luxury travel, one that’s deeply tied to the identity and culture of the travelers she serves. “Luxury travel is about more than just destinations; it’s about creating experiences that reflect the richness of the culture of those who travel,” Osas concludes.
She remains at the forefront of travel technology innovation, currently developing a travel community app that connects travelers and enhances their experiences.
