Ellie Avancy is sharing her vision for personal growth and community connection through #healPinas in the Philippines.
A Moment That Sparked a Vision
Ellie Avancy noticed a pattern many people carry but rarely name: unspoken challenges and old patterns quietly shaping their lives. That observation became the starting point for #healPinas, a nationwide initiative built around self-awareness, reflection, and personal development. People are drawn to space that lets them pause, examine their choices, and reconnect with themselves — and Ellie set out to build that space deliberately, at scale.
The Birth of #healPinas
#healPinas began with a single workshop in Baguio City in January 2025. Rather than building around one method, Ellie draws from a holistic framework including breathwork, ancient Hawaiian Huna, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Ho’oponopono, Mental and Emotional Release® (MER®), and shadow work. This work rests on one belief: people already carry what they need to thrive. Ellie doesn’t hand participants answers; she facilitates a process of remembering, guiding them back to a wholeness that was always there.
Overcoming Challenges

Introducing these modalities took a gentle hand and real respect for the cultural landscape. Many Filipinos have long been steered toward sticking with one set path rather than trusting the wisdom already carried by their ancestors, and inviting people to look inward instead takes patience. Ellie doesn’t teach the practices so much as guide people through them, helping release the baggage that’s built up so the block underneath can actually come loose.
What Makes #healPinas Different
A defining feature of #healPinas is its focus on integration, a stage most personal growth programs skip. Where many initiatives offer a momentary high, #healPinas provides structured, ongoing support so insights from a workshop don’t stay behind when the event ends. It isn’t about changing someone overnight. It’s about giving people the space to do the slow work of making new perspectives a permanent part of how they live.
A Personal and Thoughtful Approach

Ellie’s approach combines traditional and modern techniques in a holistic way that is practical and approachable. She emphasizes observation and awareness, maintaining a commitment to integrity by avoiding prescriptive claims. Rather than just promising specific outcomes, she prioritizes the creation of a space where participants can explore their own unique path, addressing their mental, emotional, and energetic well-being—at their own pace.
Expanding Across the Philippines
Since its founding, #healPinas has grown from a single workshop in Baguio City into a nationwide movement. Over the following year, the program expanded to Manila, Laguna, Cavite, Tagaytay, and Pampanga, before reaching Davao City in the south, drawing over 200 participants across its in-person events to date. Alongside these gatherings, Ellie has also run online digital experiences, extending #healPinas beyond geography. She is now planning further expansion into Cebu and other major Philippine cities, with online events designed to reach Filipinos worldwide in the future.
Building a Vision for Community Growth
Ellie Avancy’s work with #healPinas demonstrates what’s possible when a founder leads with clarity and real impact. Recognizing that this work thrives when people come together, she’s actively seeking collaboration with other facilitators, event organizers, and venue owners who want to help bring #healPinas to more communities. At the center of it all is the same belief she started with: she isn’t there to heal anyone — she’s there to help people remember what they already carry.
