DHL Supply Chain has announced the appointment of Mark Kunar as its new Chief Executive Officer for North America, effective immediately. Kunar succeeds Patrick Kelleher, who has stepped down from the role and is set to become CEO of GXO Logistics later this summer. Kunar will report directly to Oscar de Bok, CEO of DHL Supply Chain.
With nearly three decades at DHL, Kunar brings extensive experience to his new position. He joined the company in 1996 as a financial analyst and has since held various leadership roles across operations, finance, commercial, and strategic functions. In 2024, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer and Chief Strategy Officer for DHL Supply Chain North America, where he was instrumental in developing and implementing the region’s growth strategy aligned with DHL’s Strategy 2030.
Under Kunar’s leadership, DHL Supply Chain North America has executed several strategic acquisitions to enhance its service offerings. Notably, the company acquired Inmar Supply Chain Solutions, a leading returns solutions provider; CRYOPDP, a specialty pharmaceutical courier; and IDS Fulfillment, an e-commerce logistics provider. These acquisitions aim to strengthen DHL’s position in the North American market and diversify its logistics capabilities.
In his new role, Kunar will oversee operations across the United States and Canada, managing a workforce of approximately 52,000 associates. His immediate focus includes the seamless integration of the newly acquired businesses into DHL’s existing operations and the continued enhancement of the company’s capabilities as a leading contract logistics provider in North America.
