Lady Charmaine Day, a passionate mental health advocate and speaker, has announced her decision to step down from her roles as Lead Presenter for NAMI’s In Our Own Voice (IOOV) and Ending the Silence (ETS) programs after many years of outstanding service. Day’s resignation marks the conclusion of a remarkable chapter in her advocacy journey, which began in 2008.
Since joining NAMI, Lady Charmaine Day has made significant contributions to raising awareness about mental health, using her personal experience with Bipolar Disorder Type 1 to inspire and educate others. As a speaker, she has been a powerful voice for individuals living with mental health conditions, helping to break down stigma and promote understanding within communities.
