The relocation, completed at the end of 2023, represents a $4.7 million investment and is expected to generate 165 new full-time jobs in the region, with positions ranging from maintenance professionals and pilots to flight operations personnel .
The new headquarters is situated at 11500 N Ambassador Drive in Platte County, adjacent to Kansas City International Airport (MCI), a location chosen for its logistical advantages and central position in the United States. This move consolidates Eastern’s operations, including its maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility, Alta Aero Technic, and its passenger-to-freighter conversion company, Foxtrot Aero, both established in Kansas City since 2021 .

We did look at a number of cities to rebase our headquarters, but the enthusiasm of Missouri and the city, combined with the generous assistance of the Missouri Works program, made our decision easy” .
The Missouri Works program, a state initiative offering tax incentives for job creation, along with support from Missouri One Start for workforce recruitment and training, played a pivotal role in attracting Eastern Airlines to the region.
