Oliver Roldan shows true luxury isn’t inherited, it’s earned through resilience, vision, and human connection.
Luxury often evokes images of wealth, exclusivity, and prestige. For Oliver Roldan, however, luxury means something far more personal: the celebration of hard-fought achievements, meaningful milestones, and the stories that define a life well-lived. As the founder of Status Boulevard, Oliver is transforming the watch industry by making empathy, authenticity, and community central to his brand.
Lessons from a Father’s Hustle
Oliver’s journey begins with his father Rudy Roldan, whose determination and work ethic shaped his son’s outlook on life. Rudy built a thriving home-health business, yet the 2008 financial crisis and years of relentless labor eventually took a toll on his health. In October 2013 Oliver lost him to cancer, a moment that left him grappling not only with grief but also with the realization of the grit and perseverance his father embodied.
While Oliver didn’t inherit wealth, he inherited something far more valuable: the ability to face adversity head-on and the determination to forge his own path.
Surviving Struggle, Embracing Reinvention
After his father’s passing, Oliver and his wife faced financial hardship, living paycheck to paycheck. Some nights, he scavenged for discarded fast-food coupons to make ends meet, while they slept on an inflatable mattress for three years. The challenges of survival demanded resilience, and Oliver embraced each setback as a lesson.
The pandemic brought further uncertainty, wiping out his two bartending jobs overnight. Rather than succumbing to despair, he pivoted by taking on grocery delivery and other jobs to support his family. These experiences cultivated a perspective that would later influence his approach to business: a focus on perseverance, adaptability, and community.
A turning point came when friends introduced him to coding. At 35, Oliver worried he wouldn’t succeed in a field dominated by younger graduates from prestigious universities. Through dedication and relentless learning, he secured a software engineering role at a Fortune 500 company, proving that reinvention is possible at any stage of life.
A Passion Turned Purpose
With newfound stability, Oliver revisited a long-standing interest: luxury watches. What started as a personal passion evolved into a business, culminating in the founding of Status Boulevard in 2023. For Oliver, each timepiece represents more than a watch, it is a symbol of achievement, resilience, and personal narrative.

“I didn’t start this brand to impress others,” he explains. “I built it to understand them.” This philosophy drives every interaction with his customers, setting Status Boulevard apart in an industry often dominated by transactions rather than human connection.
Redefining Success in the Luxury Market
For Oliver, status isn’t about flashing wealth; it’s about honoring the journey behind each accomplishment. At Status Boulevard, success is measured by the milestones celebrated through each timepiece and the relationships built along the way. Whether guiding a first-time buyer or sourcing a rare collector’s piece, Oliver ensures every client feels valued and understood.

Building a Community Around Time
Oliver’s ambitions extend beyond watches. He envisions a physical space that doubles as a hub for mentorship, inspiration, and connection, a place where people can see reflections of their own journeys and leave motivated to pursue their next steps.
“I’m not self-made,” Oliver reflects. “I’m community-made. Every person who’s supported me has been part of this story.” This perspective shapes how he approaches business: with empathy, recognition, and an understanding that success is intertwined with the lives of others.
Reinvention, Resilience, and the Future of Luxury
Oliver Roldan’s journey is a testament to the power of reinvention and the idea that luxury need not be defined by excess. Through Status Boulevard, he is redefining the narrative, showing that true luxury celebrates resilience, human connection, and the stories that shape us.
“Success is not just what you achieve, it’s the journey you live and the stories you leave behind,” Oliver says. His story reminds us that luxury, when aligned with purpose and empathy, becomes a reflection of human experience rather than mere material wealth.
